Brace yourself, kiddies. Prof is back with the second installment of his Kaiser Von Powderhorn EP series. This much anticipated follow-up to his first Kaiser EP features eight of Prof's most humorous and polished tracks to date. The upbeat, light-hearted Kaiser Von Powderhorn 2 makes a perfect party soundtrack. Each track reinforces Prof’s status as the best Twin Cities MC, as he switches seamlessly between playfully pawing at and powerfully pouncing on the beat.

Presenting Recession Music, a critically acclaimed album featuring Prof and St. Paul Slim, the best and brightest of Midwest hip-hop. These modern day bootleggers display all that is good about Twin Cities’ hip hop on more than a dozen tasty homebrewed tracks. With input from Rhymesayer‘s Co-Founder Ant, Recession Music has become a piece of art Prof and Slim are proud to hang their fedoras on. These two up-and-coming rap superstars are further supported by the who’s-who of underground rap: Slug (Atmosphere), POS (Doomtree), Big Zach (Kanser), and Atlanta-based Yelawolf.

All you sleepyheads rest easy; he's still on his "Rocket Man mission," even though dude's already miles above the game. Maybe that's why he still calls himself the "undiscovered son." (Or sun? Yeah, that's a metaphor, kiddies.) But sleep no more: The new five-song EP, Kaiser Von Powderhorn, with its limited production and availability, is bound to be a rare treasure for the rest of your days. Dope on wax. Prof is wall-to-wall here in all his glory, with clever one-liners out the ass, hyperactive and delicious vocab spills popped like collars—picture a supreme smartass with gorilla swagger and a mouth as fast as his mind. Oh my gawd. Half the time he plays with the beat like a cat on a dead mouse, batting it mockingly, going from 0 to 60 and back again in three seconds just to test the engine. - City Pages

Instead of sounding like an awkward mash-up, the professionalism of the two hip-hop crews helped create a unique sound that is rarely heard this far north of the Mason-Dixon Line.

The album sounds like perfect party music, with upbeat and up-tempo music and plenty of easily-remembered choruses to chant in unison. - UofM Daily
